The Kingsburg School of Dental Assisting program is a course that requires students to attend theoretical, laboratory, and clinical classes two days per week.

Radiation Safety Course

When: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Length of the Course: 32 HOURS
Radiation Safety Board Approved Course is a 32 hour course. Consists of 8 hour lectures, 12 hours of lab (Manikins), and 12 hours of X-rays on patients.

Coronal Polishing Course
Coronal Polishing Course

When: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Length of the Course: 12 HOURS
Coronal Polishing Board Approved Course is a 12 hour course. Consists of 4 hour lectures, 4 hours of lab (Manikins), and 4 hours of clinical (live patients).

Infection Control
Infection Control Course

When: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Length of the Course: 8 HOURS
8-Hour INFECTION CONTROL BOARD APPROVED COURSE

PIT & FISSURE
Pit and Fissure

When: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Length of the Course: 16 HOURS
PIT FISSURE SEALANTS BOARD APPROVED COURSE is a 16 hours course. Consists of lectures and practice on manikins.

NEW UPDATED POLICY EFFECTIVE JANUARY 2025 FROM THE DENTAL BOARD OF CALIFORNIA (https://www.dbc.ca.gov/)

  • Unlicensed Dental Assistants can now do Coronal Polishing (Basic Teeth Cleaning)
  • Unlicensed Dental Assistants who want to do coronal polishing must take Infection Control Course (8 HOURS) and BLS (CPR)
  • ALL Registered Dental Assistants (RDA’s) MUST NOW have their Pit and Fissure licensure.
